GPTEC

The work is titled: Escravo work, climatic changes and worker health in Brazilian agriculture: cases of Maranhão, Rio de Janeiro and Mato Grosso.

Our article explores the interaction between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, highlighting the relationship between climate, health and decent work (SDG 8). We present theoretical and methodological paths of online research and preliminary results obtained through bibliographical, documentary survey and online conversations with civil society entities in the three states investigated.

The Scientific Meeting, promoted by GPTEC/NEPP-DH-UFRJ, in partnership with the GPMAT/UFMT, the Integrated Ação Project (PAI/MT) and a COETRAE/MT, with support from TRT23, visa:

  1. Promote exchange between research centers in Brazil and abroad.
  2. Stimulate collaborative and innovative academic production.
  3. Expand access to knowledge of new research methodologies.
  4. Contribute to debates on the confrontation with contemporary slave labor.
